1. The service
Kundly, provided by Kundly (“we”), calculates Vedic astrology charts and related information from the details you give, and lets you ask questions of Vani, an AI that explains the calculated chart. We may change, improve or withdraw features from time to time. To keep Vani fair and affordable for everyone, the number of questions you can ask each day is limited; the app shows how many are left, and the count starts again at midnight.
2. What a reading is, and is not
Jyotisha is a traditional system of interpretation. Readings describe tendencies and periods as the tradition reads them; they are not facts about the future, and they are not certainties. Kundly does not give, and nothing in it is, medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice. Do not delay or replace professional help because of anything you read in the app. Kundly does not predict death, lifespan, illness or the sex of a baby. If you are in distress, contact Tele-MANAS on 14416 (India), your local emergency number, or someone you trust.
3. AI-written text
Vani’s answers are written by an AI language model from a third-party provider (OpenAI, or Anthropic or Google when it is unavailable). Your question and the chart details needed to answer it are sent to that provider only if you allow it; the privacy policy says exactly what is sent. Chart facts in the answers come from calculations and are checked before they are shown, but explanations can still contain mistakes or omissions. Use your own judgement. If an answer is offensive, harmful or wrong, tap Report under it; we review every report.
4. Who may use it
You must be 18 or over to use Kundly, and you confirm this when you sign up.
5. Your account
You sign in with a mobile number you are entitled to use. Keep your phone secure: anyone who can unlock it may be able to open your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
6. Other people’s details
Add someone else’s birth details only with their consent, or as their parent or legal guardian, and only for purposes they would expect, such as kundli matching. You are responsible for having that consent.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Kundly to:
- break the law, or seek to harm, control, harass or deceive anyone;
- try to obtain other users’ data, the service’s instructions or secrets, or to get around its safety rules;
- overload, scrape, copy or reverse-engineer the service, except as the law allows;
- resell the service or present its output as your own professional consultation.
8. Content and intellectual property
The app, this website, and the text, design and code in them belong to us or our licensors. The details you enter and the questions you ask remain yours; you allow us to process them to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. Parts of the service are built on open-source software under its own licences.
9. App stores and third parties
If you download Kundly from an app store, that store’s terms also apply to the download. Third-party services we rely on, such as SMS delivery and AI model providers, are listed in the privacy policy.
10. Our responsibility
We work to keep Kundly accurate, available and secure, but we provide it “as is”, without promising that it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on a reading, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
11. Ending use
You can stop using Kundly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users or the service at risk.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
